Is sedation dentistry safe?
Yes. Conscious sedation has an excellent safety record when it is given by a trained, permitted dentist who monitors you throughout. Dr. Kim holds an Illinois IV Conscious Sedation Permit, is ACLS certified, and our team performs hundreds of sedation cases every year.
How much does sedation dentistry cost, and how can I pay?
Your consultation is free, and if you need a panoramic X-ray, it is complimentary. Sedation has a separate fee, which is typically much lower than what other anesthesia providers charge. We offer third-party payment plan options. We are not a Medicaid provider.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. At your free consultation we review your medical and dental history and any X-rays, talk through your goals, and recommend the right level of sedation for you.
Will I be asleep during treatment?
Not in the way you would be under general anesthesia. Conscious (“twilight”) sedation puts you in a deeply relaxed state. You can still respond to your name or a gentle touch, but most patients drift off and remember very little of the visit.
